1. About This Website
This website is operated by Art By Alex. Throughout the site, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Art By Alex.
We create and sell original artwork, including original paintings and commissioned pieces. All artwork is created by the artist and may include natural variations due to the handmade nature of each piece.
2. Artwork & Product Information
Each painting is a unique, handmade original. Because artwork is photographed and displayed digitally, colors may vary slightly depending on your device settings and screen display.
Measurements, materials, and descriptions are provided as accurately as possible. Please review all product information carefully before purchasing.
3. Purchases & Payments
By placing an order, you agree that all information provided during checkout is accurate and complete.
Payment must be received in full before artwork will be prepared for shipment or delivery.
Prices are subject to change at any time. Any price changes will not affect orders that have already been placed.
4. Original Artwork Ownership & Copyright
Purchasing an original painting does not transfer copyright ownership.
The artist retains all rights to reproduce, photograph, display, and use images of artwork for promotional, portfolio, advertising, and archival purposes unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
The buyer receives ownership of the physical artwork only.
5. Shipping
Artwork will be carefully packaged and shipped using the shipping method provided at checkout.
Shipping times are estimates and may vary due to carrier delays, weather, holidays, or circumstances outside of our control.
The buyer is responsible for providing accurate shipping information. Art By Alex is not responsible for packages shipped to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
6. Returns & Exchanges
Due to the unique nature of original artwork, all sales are considered final unless the artwork arrives damaged.
If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photographs of the damage and packaging so we can review the issue.
Approved returns or exchanges, if applicable, must be authorized by Art By Alex before sending artwork back.
7. Damaged Artwork
Every painting is carefully inspected and packaged before shipment. If your artwork arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible with photos of the artwork, packaging, and shipping label.
We will work with you to determine the best resolution.
8. Commission Artwork
Commission requests are accepted at the artist’s discretion.
A deposit will be required before work begins. Final payment must be received before the completed artwork is delivered or shipped.
Because commissioned artwork is created specifically for the buyer, commissions are non-refundable once the painting process has begun.
9. Website Content
All content on this website, including artwork images, photographs, written descriptions, logos, and designs, belongs to Art By Alex unless otherwise stated.
Artwork may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
Art By Alex is not responsible for damages, losses, or delays caused by circumstances outside of our control, including shipping delays, natural disasters, technical issues, or carrier errors.
